INTERNET EXPLORER SAFETY FLAW

Keep yourself safe and follow the instructions below to Enable Protected Mode in Internet Explorer and Download Mozilla Firefox as a Second Browser

Enable Protected Mode In Internet Explorer Browser


      1.          Go the Desktop and Click on Internet Explorer from the taskbar (some of you may have the 
                    internet Explorer as a shortcut on your desktop):

    First, make sure you can see the menu bar in Internet Explorer. It looks like this:


  1. If you don’t see a menu bar, right click on area near the top of the window and then click on Menu bar in the box that comes up:

4.    Click on the Tools Menu Scroll to the bottom of the Tools menu (illustration is cropped — it is quite long) and select Internet options:

5.    In the Internet options menu, click on the security Tab and check the box to enable enhanced Protected Mode

6.   Close Internet Explorer and  Restart your system, which means completely reboot your PC

Download Mozilla Firefox as a Second Browser by following these step by step instructions:

1.    Click on the Word “Firefox” to begin downloading Mozilla Firefox:

The link will direct you to the Firefox website pictured below:

2.     Click the Firefox Download Button

 3.     Click Run on the Internet Exlorer Bar:



4.    Click Run on Account Control window and the click Install on the Firefox Window:

5.    Select Microsoft Internet Explorer, then Click Next


6.     Select Import your home page from Internet Explorer, then click next


7.     Click Finish:   


8.     Be sure to uncheck the box  and click no on the following dialogue box:

9.     On your Desktop Right Click the Mozilla Firefox Icon and Pin it to your Start Menu or your Task Bar.
