Looking To Enhance Your Computer Literacy? This Is For You...

To enhance your computer literacy, check out the information below...
1) The family service league will be offering veterans training for a fee of $30 (which will be returned to you if you complete the program). See the flyer below...

2) Everything On - This is an inspired campaign by Mayor Bloomberg to improve computer literacy. It is a great website and has something for everyone. Explore it. Put in your zip code to find out about free training in our area. He states 1 in 5 Americans are not connected to the internet. I have seen surveys that have placed veterans in a high risk pool for computer literacy. Surveys that have been done show 38.9% of veterans do not know how to use the computer and over half do not even have a computer, or know where to begin to find resources to learn.

3) Don't forget the website you learned in class. Learn Free is a not for profit organization that has easy tutorials you can use. Challenge yourself to complete one a week and watch your computer skills grow.

If you are interested in volunteering in Brooklyn or Long Island to help your fellow veterans, let me know. I believe that no one can help a veteran as much as a fellow veteran.
