Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day

Dear Vietnam veteran, and veterans of all eras,

On behalf of the United War Veterans Council, producers of the annual NYC Veterans Day Parade NYC, and other significant events which honors service, it is my honor to extend this invitation, and request your participation.

Saturday March 29th, 2014 holds a special day for the tens of thousands of Vietnam veterans throughout our great city – namely, the annual Vietnam Veterans Day.

It was March 29, 1973, that the last 2,500 American combat troops were withdrawn from the battlefields of Vietnam, and we solemnly commemorate the 41st anniversary of this day and reflect on its significance for past, present and future generation.

The planned activities, attended by many Vietnam veterans throughout the 5 boroughs, takes place in the main lobby of the 55 Water Street building in lower Manhattan, which is adjacent to the famed Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza, and outdoors on the plaza.

The summary of activities and that which is most befitting your participation is attached.

In light of the meaning of this day to Vietnam veterans, their families and friends in attendance, we would be honored by your presence.

Welcome Home and Pass it on!
